Arthur Street Cafe, Baulkham Hills
Tucked away in the streets of Baulkham Hills is a small cafe which locals call their local escape – Arthur Street Cafe. The cafe has been there for many years and have changed owners but still provide locals with great food and coffee.
Not only that but they also cater for special occasions with High Tea. As the name implies, the cafe is located on Arthur Street in Baulkham Hills, within a quiet neighborhood. There is plenty of street parking if you’re not a local living within the area.
The cafe is cosy and friendly with a rustic ambiance and interesting pieces hanging on the wall that makes the cafe look inviting. The cafe is busy on the weekends but fear not they have plenty of space available downstairs and also out back in their courtyard so don’t be fooled by the street appearance. Once inside and seated with their menu, the menu itself will bring a smile to your face with their funny and interesting menu names. It sure grabs your attention to want to try them all.
Food
We ordered the Creme Brulee French Toast, We Meat Again, a long black and a banana and honey smoothie. The meals were well presented and not overly sweet or salty. The burger (We Meat Again) was tasty and hearty while the french toast wasn’t skimpy with the brioche like most places are with a thick slice provided. The brulee on their banana and brioche gave it texture and taste but not sickly sweet. The banana smoothie though it had honey wasn’t over the top and matched well with the french toast. Overall a good lunch.
Pros and Cons
Having a great cafe opened 7 days is a major plus for the locals and though it can get very busy on the weekends there is plenty of space for anyone to go in and get some great coffee and food. The downside though could be that the more people there are the more time it will take for service and also for the food to arrive at your table. It’s also kid friendly so a great place for families or for moms and bubs gatherings.
Overall Experience
The fresh flowers on the table made the atmosphere a very warm and inviting place with good coffee and food. The service there is friendly and the environment was good that you would want to go back again and again.
