About Visit Hills Projects
This whole project was inspired by the popular American reality show “Fixer Upper” of the HGTV (Home and Garden Television) channel. The show stars Chip and Joanna Gaines, home design & remodeling business owners based in Waco Texas with the show airing for almost 5 years until the final season in 2017.
During the 5 years TV episodes, America’s favourite couple has gained not only their popularity also created a huge “Fixer Upper” effect to this small cowboy town including local tourism and economy boost. In addition, they were honoured by the City of Waco for their true heart towards to community and the positive ways to promote Waco to attract many visitors.
The Visit Hills Projects is a community initiative by Arkmedia, a Hills based graphic design studio, to promote the beautiful area that is the Hills. From landscapes, lifestyles, community events, businesses, people and events, Arkmedia wants to improve and better what makes the Hills area special.
The project has three different stages.
Stage 1: Creating online contents (www.visithills.com.au)
Stage 2: Building social media and e-commerce platform
Stage 3: Building an offline community space
We love everything about the Hills. Arkmedia is re-inventing, re-interpreting and re-creating the Hills community with creative ideas to promote the beauty of Hills living.
